Update – Guess how many kids, win some stuff!

Kidding season is less than two weeks away, that means it’s time to set up the kidding pens, and it’s also time for the baby goat guessing game. Last year we had 3 does kid, and 8 new kids born here (4 boys 4 girls). This year we have 9 does due to kid, how may kids do you think we will have? How many boys and how many girls? We’ll give whomever is closest a dozen organic eggs and a quart of milk!

Hatching Experiment- Can grocery store eggs hatch?

Before we start hatching our own bantam hatching eggs in our incubator, we’ve got to calibrate the incubator using eggs that aren’t quite as rare or expensive. So, we picked up a dozen fertile eggs at a natural food store in Manchester, NH.

Added second webcam (aka Baby Goat Cam)

Added our other webcam to the webcams page. Right now it is pointed at the chicken coop, but this will soon change and will be wherever the baby goats are! This camera is indoors so unfortunately it does not work very well at night since it is behind a window.
