Also huge congrats to all the many grandkids of Tiny Hill Farm goats who also made the list, and the numerous Tiny Hill Farm goats who have evaluations in the top 85th percentile. There are LOTS! Proud we are of all of them!
Thinking about adding to your herd or maybe getting started with goats? Let me tell you about what makes our farm a bit different than others. We breed ultra- productive Nigerian dwarf dairy goats with a focus on humanely breeding healthy goats with a long, productive lifespan. Even though our herd is usually just 20-25 or so goats, we have some extremely competitive milking genetics, including two Top Ten does in 2020, 15 Elite goats in August 2023, 14 Elite goats in December 2023, and four ADGA Young Sire Development Program Qualifiers in 2020.
Even though breeding goats for milk production is what we focus on, being a humane farm is of the utmost importance to us. Our retired goats live their whole lives here as treasured friends. Every kid we sell or keep (from pet wethers to future milk test super stars) gets the best loving care we can possibly give them. In order to be good land stewards and help our farm serve as a habitat for wildlife, we follow the Predator Friendly Production Standards. We have been working on ensuring we are offering usable habitat for native wildlife, while also managing any non-native and invasive species. Lastly, we focus on nurturing lasting friendships with the wonderful folks who buy our goats. This includes offering prompt and kind, non-judgemental advice, assistance, and encouragement for the lifetime of every goat we sell. Because educating folks about these delightful creatures is our passion, we offer interesting and fun online goat care classes and open office hours every year. Plus, our milk test class is free for anyone with our goats, because proving our goats’ milk production potential is so important to us. We are taking first come first served deposits to reserve spring 2025 kids. Feel free to check out our kidding schedule here and contact us!
