We will have baby chicks available for local sale this spring. We’ll have assorted batches of day old, straight run, rainbow egg layer chicks available for local folks who are also chasing that gorgeous egg rainbow. The breeds we will have are French black copper marans, welsummers, olive eggers, Silverrudd’s blues, and frizzle Easter eggers. $15 each or $70/5 or $100/10. We also have hatching eggs available for local DIYers who can pickup at the farm. $50 per dozen.“Curbside” farm pickup only, no shipping. Our farm is in Milton Mills, NH. Day olds. Straight run (males and females as hatched). We’ll be hatching each week so should have plenty of chicks available! We might have juvenile sexed birds later this season, depending on availablilty. Pictured are our beautiful colorful eggs. All our poultry is sold hand tamed and well started on Blue Seal grain. All birds are sold first come first served. Sorry, we do not ship either poultry or hatching eggs. Please contact us for more information.

I would like 4-6 New Hampshire Reds and a few Guinea Hens if at all possible.

    Thanks,
    Bill Burns

    • Larissa says:

Hi Bill! Thanks for your comment! I am not sure when we will have NH reds or Guinea hens, but when we find hatching eggs and expect chicks, I will post it on our website. Plus I can let you know if you would like. Thanks again!

Hey again. I am trying to get my hands on some guinea meets this spring if your interested in selling them. It’s not garinted though. Also how soon would you be able to get a dozen of white silkie fertile eggs, because I would like to be able to get some in my incubator by march 21st. And to be a bigger pain I was wondering how much you would be selling red bourbon chicks for. Last thing how high to you have the fencing around your turkeys, your pen gave me some ideas for my own birds. Thanks hope to hear from you soon and I hope you were able to find the books for a good price.

    • Larissa says:

Hi Melissa! I’ll buy guinea eggs if you find someone who has them. I’ll be able to save fertile silkie eggs for you, but not until after the 1st of April, sorry. If you still want them let me know, and I will save them for you. Day old Bourbon red turkey poults will be $8 each. Let me know ASAP if you are interested, and I can put you on the waiting list. I don’t know about availability of poults, but I can let you know. My turkey fencing is 4ft high welded wire. It works great to contain the turkeys, but we do clip their wing feathers every few months, because Bourbon reds love to fly if given the chance. And yes, I was able to find the books online. Thanks so much! 🙂

  3. Judy Cook says:

Larissa, 3 out of the 5 eggs hatched that I got from you. My broody hen is now happy with the three baby chicks to mother. 1 all yellow, 1 with some brown and 1 with more brown. Thanks so much. The other 4 chicks are growing and will be ready to join the flock soon. I had to put my white roo down as his leg got worse. even had him to the vet (avian) who gave me some metacam but said it looked like an achilles tendon injury. So it we get a roo out of either the chicks or the hatched eggs it will be OK. let me know how I can send you a .

  4. Judy Cook says:

That should have been “How can I send you a picture”

  5. Judy Cook says:

Do you think if I came up on the 30th the Ameraucana Bantams that are hatching on the 29th would be ready to go. Otherwish I could come on Monday. I would like to get 2 more I don’t think the broody hen would notice 2 more chicks if I put them under her at night. What do you think mine hatched on the 25th. Let me know.

    • Larissa says:

Hi Judy! That’s great about the chicks. Congrats! But, sorry to hear about your rooster. Yes, if you came on the 30th, Ameraucana bantams I have expected to hatch should be ready to go. I should have two available for you. Your broody hen shouldn’t notice two more chicks, so you should be fine with slipping them under her at night. Just keep a close eye on them for the first day or two, to make sure everyone is getting along. Can you email me a picture of the new chicks? I would love to post it on the webpage. Thanks Judy! -Larissa

  6. Judy Cook says:

I sent you 3 pictures via a message on Facebook. They are all doing well. What time should I come on the 30th or is the 31st better for you either is ok with me. Let me know.

    • Larissa says:

Hi Judy! I didn’t get the pictures? Could you try emailing them to me? tinyhillfarm (at) gmail.com . Hopefully that will work. How about the 30th at 3pm, or the 31st before 10am or after 5pm? Either is fine with me. Just let me know what works for you. Thanks again!

  7. Judy Cook says:

Just a reminder that if you find any Wellsummer Bantam chicks or hatching eggs I would take 5 or 6. Thanks again for saving the chicks for me. Love seeing all your animals.

  8. Judy Cook says:

3 new chicks are all doing well under the hen. All eating and drinking. All naping under the hen. I guess she can’t count. The mille fleur got caught in the hens breast feathers and I had to untangle them. The rest are spending time riding around on the hens back. All for now…will send you som pictures of our new run when we get it finished.

  9. Brooks says:

    Hello,
I’m looking for 3 Ameraucana chicks! Do you ship? Thanks!

    • Larissa says:

Hi! I have Ameraucana chicks available, but I don’t ship, sorry. Chicks are available for pick up at our farm in Milton Mills NH, or at my work in North Hampton NH. Thanks!

  10. Brooks says:

    Thanks!

  11. lin haynes says:

Hi Larissa, I contacted you last week about bantam Ameraucanas. I would like 6 of them. Do you still have them for sale? I could come to Hampton after school Mon or Tue if you do and it is convenient. I could get there by 3:30. Let me know what your wishes are. The above e-mail address is mine at school. I will be in school by 7 AM tomorrow to get your message. Thanks, Lin

  12. Chris Murphy says:

It was great finally meeting you today! Thanks for the chicks! I made a post on our blog about the start of our chicken adventure!

  13. Kim Baldwin says:

Do you have any Pumpkin Hulseys available? I am very interested in purchasing some. Thanks,

  14. Sara says:

    Hi Larissa,
My kids and I saw your chicks at Jenness Farm when they had their Open House a few weeks back. Unfortunately our henhouse wasn’t ready then, but it is now and we are eager to find some chicks! Do you still have any for sale? We are only looking for four and we’d really like to get some that are a bit older so that we won’t have to incubate. I work in Durham and live in Nottingham, so I could easily meet you anywhere in or near North Hampton, but I’m also perfectly willing to drive a bit for some locally raised chicks. 🙂 Looking forward to hearing from you….thanks!
    ~Sara

    • Larissa says:

HI Sara! Nice to hear from you. I have many chicks for sale, some who are already old enough to be outside without any heat lamps. Those ones are about 4 weeks old. Dominique bantams and Ameraucana bantams. They are cuties! I’d be happy to meet you in North Hampton. If you send me an email to tinyhillfarm (at) gmail.com we can arrange pickup. Thanks again! -Larissa

  15. Alexandrea says:

Hi, what variety of cochin do you raise? I am looking for some mille fleurs or mottleds. Thanks!

  16. Robyn says:

Larissa, I love your website and list of chicks for sale. Might I ask to be added to your list for guinea hens? And…do they roost well with other chickens? My fiance and I have 27 week old chicks (wish we met you earlier…we could have started smaller but wanted some unique chickens and McMurray required a minimum order of 25. Cannot complain, we are very happy with the service and health. However, when we augment the flock, we will certainly put in an order with you!) Would you teach us how to butcher? I’d be happy to add you to our patient resource page and blog. Much thanks!

    • Larissa says:

Hi Robyn! Thanks for your comment. Right now guineas are hard to come by, and I am still looking for an egg supplier, as we don’t raise them ourselves. If you raise them with chicks, then you might be lucky enough to get guineas that will roost well, but most do not. They like to sleep in trees. I’d be happy to let you know when you plan on butchering, and then if you’d like to come help and learn we’d be happy to have you. I’ll also let you know when we have guinea keets available. Thanks again!

  21. Bob Stano says:

If your coming to the Farm Day swap this next Saturday July 7th please bring 4 of the bourbon red turkey poults. I talked to my wife and she wondered why I didn’t buy them the last swap.

    Thanks,

    Bob

    • Larissa says:

Hi Bob! Sorry, we won’t be able to make it there next weekend, but you’re welcome to pick them up at our farm in Milton Mills, or I can meet you somewhere that is mutually convenient if you prefer. Just let me know what works for you, thanks so much, and thanks for running the swaps. We really enjoy them! 🙂

      • Bob Stano says:

RATS!!!! I’ll have to check the next days off for my wife or I’ll just have to wait until the next time. I ordered 25 guinea hens to sell at the swap and they are due the end of the month.

        • Bob Stano says:

Sorry I meant guinea keets not hens.

          • Larissa says:

No problem! Just let me know what day/time works to come pick up some poults. Not sure when we will be at the next swap, but I do shop in Sanford fairly regularly, so I’d be happy to meet you somewhere if that works out better. Thanks!

  22. Hope says:

hi! do they come as eggs or chicks? hopfully chicks cause i dont want to raise one.(i already tried and it turned hard boiled!!)

  23. Amy says:

HI-I am interested in buying a pet silkie bantam, preferably male to keep the tick population down for our horse who is moving into the neighborhood at the end of the summer. Is this something you will have available in September?

    • Larissa says:

Hi Amy! I should have something available for you in September, for sure. Just let me know when you are ready for a silkie, and I will let you know what I have available at that time. They make great tick eaters, and they are so cute and friendly they make great pets too. Just give me a heads up when you are moving your horse and are ready for a silkie, and do let me know if you have any questions in the meantime. Thanks so much!

  24. Serena says:

Hi Larissa I have been looking for some baby chicks and I was wondering if you had any for me. Thanks,
    Serena

  25. Sarah says:

You got any Silver Laced Wyandotte chicks? Looked everywhere else.

  26. Judy Cook says:

    Hi Larissa,
When will you start having silkies for sale and what colors. How do you over winter yours. Are they in the big coop with everybody else or do you keep them separate? Your puppy is sure cute. All our bantams are doing well. 10 roos and 13 hens of various ages. 6 of the roos are blue wheaten Ameracunas all look alike. The other 4 are wheaten Ameracunas. They are all nice and calm. They have their own coop. Had a weasel attack killed our 4 geese. Chickens are totally predator proof. Looks like a hot wire on our fence is in our future. Our new coop turned out great. This summer we will be renovating the old coop and finishing our new fencing + hot wire. Hope to see you this year.
    Judy

    • Larissa says:

Hi Judy, Nice to hear from you, and thanks for your kind words about my puppy! We’ll have silkies in blue, black, and white this year. All my birds overwinter together. Sorry to hear about the weasel. We have also had one visit. Nasty creatures!

  27. Celeste Bisson says:

I’m looking for a couple Silkies. Speckled, blue or partridge. Will you have any available? I’m new to raising chickens and would love the chance to speak to you about breeds and mixed flocks. I’m hoping to get around 6 hens. I’m concerned about mixing standard size hens with bantam size silkies. What are your thoughts? Thank you, Celeste

    • Larissa says:

Hi Celeste! I’ll have silkie chicks available for sale later this season. We don’t have partridge or speckled (do you mean splash?) but we do have blues, whites and blacks. You can usually mix standards and bantams, but if you have lots of standards and just a few bantams the bantams are liable to be bullied by the bigger chickens. Better to have mostly bantams and just a few standards. Thanks!

  28. Judy Cook says:

Larissa can you reserve 3 large fowl buff orpington pullets and 3 cuckoo Marans large fowl pullets for me from your hatchery order. Let me know when I can come up to pick them up.t

  29. suzanne mcknight says:

I am looking for Marans pullets. Am told you have some for sale. If you do please contact me with price, age avaliability etc. Thanks. I am in love with the temperament and mostly the beautiful eggs. Suzanne McKnight

I wondering if you sells a Sebright bantams?
Im looking for some sebrights hens for my rooster, I recently got new golden sebright rooster. let me know, thanks!
    Josh

    • admin says:

We do not raise Sebrights. We do raise silver laced Wyandottes, if you are looking for a breed that is similarly marked.

  33. Ken Robichaud says:

    Larissa,
Thanks for your email, we will take 3 Red Bourbon turkey poults, when they are ready. We live right here in Milton, so we can come up anytime to get them. Let us know when they will be ready, thanks, Ken

  34. Maddy says:

Hello, I was wondering if you had any silkie chickens that are about a day old. Also how much will one chicken cost?

    • Larissa says:

Hi! We typically sell sexed juvenile birds and not baby chicks. If you are interested in our chickens please email us at tinyhillfarm (at). gmail.com. Thank you!

  35. Maddy says:

Thank you Larissa, but I am looking for baby chicks. Is there another place nearby that sells silkie chicks?

  36. Maddy says:

    Hi Larissa,
I have not been able to find silkie chicks nearby, but i was wondering if you had silkie chickens that are still young. Please comment your youngest silkie chicken.

    • Larissa says:

Hi! We sell sexed juvenile birds in the summer. They will be 4-5 months old. Females are $45 each. If you are interested in our birds please email me at tinyhillfarm (at ) gmail.com Thanks!
